December Gradings, End of Year Graduation Ceremony & Awards Dinner | Dates to Remember

Dear members,

2019 has been a huge year for AAMA and our members! Firstly, we would like to thank all our members and families for their support throughout the year and for your patience while we have been working on upgrading our training space! We’re almost there and hope to make the most of our new and improved Level 1 training area in 2020, with a bigger and better training floor, as well as more classes running to help our members get the most out of their martial arts training!

As we approach the end of the year, we still have some very important updates and dates to look forward to at AAMA! Please take the time to read through the following information:

2019 December Gradings

We are very happy to see students maintaining high levels of motivation and effort throughout the year and consistently training to a high standard in the lead up to end-of-year gradings. We wish all students grading for their next rank in December the very best! We believe that each of you have worked hard and earned your place at grading!  

All students grading for Yellow to Brown ranks this December, will be notified in class by their instructor and will receive a Grading Notice which will need to be returned to AAMA with the required grading fee to confirm grading attendance, prior to grading day. Our Kidz Karate and Zen Do Kai Gradings will take place on Saturday 14th December 2019 , from 9:30am - 4:00pm. It's going to be a huge day!

Next year’s gradings will take place at the end of each term, so if you’re not quite ready for grading this December, keep up the great effort, it won’t be long until term 1 gradings in the new year!

Instructors have been working closely with our Brown and Black belts in preparation for Black belt, 1 ^st Degree and 2 ^nd Degree gradings next month. We had a great training day for our Brown and Black ranks last Saturday with some extra coaching from the instructors to help fine tune their grading requirements. We are looking forward to seeing a very high standard from our Brown Belts going for Black and from our Black belts attempting their 1 ^st and 2 ^nd Degree ranks!

AAMA End-of-Year Function: Graduation Ceremony & Awards Dinner

All students who grade to Black Belt, 1 ^st Degree and 2 ^nd Degree ranks will be presented with their Certificates at our End-of-Year Function and Graduation Ceremony/Student Awards Dinner on Sunday 15 ^th December.

The function will be a time for the AAMA family to come together and celebrate the year, and acknowledge our graduation students, award recipients and each other! The function will include a fully catered buffet dinner at the local Galada Community Centre in Epping North. We encourage all students and families to attend the function and join the end of year celebration! Tickets can be purchased online at: https://trybooking.com/BGNNJ or in person at AAMA.

*Please note that Grading Fees for Black Belt, 1 ^st Degree and 2 ^nd Degree ranks include a ticket to the end-of-year graduation and awards dinner. Please select the “Grading Students” section to pay for Grading (including Graduation Ceremony/Awards dinner ticket). Please contact the office on 8418 1822 if you require assistance.

Ticket prices: 

Graduating Black belts, 1 ^st Degree and 2 ^nd Degree students: Included with Grading Fee  

Parents or first 2 guests of Graduating Black/1 ^st /2 ^nd degree students: $25  

All other tickets (adults and children): $30  

Children 3yrs and under: Free  

Instructors are currently finalising nominations for our 2019 Student Awards, to be presented at the 2019 Graduation and Student Awards Dinner on the 15 ^th December. We would like to open nominations to members and parents as well (in particular for AAMA Instructor of the Year). Similarly, we would like to hear from any students that have been training with AAMA for more than 5 years!

We value all member and parent feedback, so if you would like to submit an award nomination for any of the below categories, please request a nomination form from the front desk. Award nominations must be finalised by Thursday 21 ^st November. All members nominated for 2019 award will be notified once all nominations have been received.

We’re looking forward to a busy and exciting December – and an even bigger and better 2020!  We want everyone to know that All-Active Martial Arts would not be the place it is without all of you – our students, instructors and the amazing families that support you in your training with us!
